Top 10 Healthy Desserts

We all love our desserts but finding recipes for healthy treats is not easy. Another good thing about baking is that if you can’t find something you’re looking for, you can always learn to make up your own recipe! It’s all about experimenting and finding what you like and don’t like. Some people even take it upon themselves to check out companies such as Delhi Baker’s Club, in the hopes of learning how to become a successful baker and one day open their own bakery. That’s the best thing about cooking/baking. Here’s my favorite top ten healthy desserts that will keep that little devil on your shoulder from winning!

Top Ten Healthy Desserts | Simply Fresh Dinners

Learning to bake is one of my new year’s resolutions and I’m working on it but lucky for you in the meantime I have these gorgeous desserts from my talented blogger friends. Check it out!

Mixed Berry Crumble | Simply Fresh Dinners

This is as easy to make as a crumble can get with none of the usual unwanted calories. I included some walnuts in the topping to give it a little extra crunch. You can use frozen berries in the colder months.

Banana and Peach Butter Bread with a Chia Crunch | Whole Food Bellies

When I first saw this on Donna’s blog, I had to blink a few times because it’s the best looking banana bread I’ve ever seen. I rarely have banana bread because I’m not much of a baker and if I was, I’d be making it every day! Yep, totally hooked and now it’s ok because this healthy creation is chock full of goodness and it’s time I learned how to bake! Yumminess.

Fried Pineapple with Ice Cream | Cooktoria

This slice of heaven is perfect with a little dollop of ice cream. A half-cup serving of vanilla or chocolate ice cream – which has about 140 calories, 7g fat and 14g sugar – can be a reasonable part of your diet. Good news, right? Tania has added cinnamon, black raisins and Amaretto to this creative dessert. LOVE!

Cantaloupe and Raspberries with Blueberry Syrup and Ice Cream | Simply Fresh Dinners

I discovered blueberry syrup for the first time this summer at a local farmers’ market and I’m totally sold. As I mentioned earlier, ice cream (in moderation) can be a part of a healthy diet and when you add some fruit, it’s the perfect easy dessert in any kind of weather. A topping of fresh basil adds something extra.

Vegan Chocolate Coconut Cream Pie | Natural Girl Modern World

I wanted to save this beautiful slice of perfection till the end to remind everyone that YES, you can have healthy deliciousness and this is your proof. This dessert has no dairy, flour or refined sugar. It is vegan and gluten-free.

I will use Brianne’s words to describe this stunning dessert because I can’t do it justice – “This pie is what dreams are made of. Features a creamy, decadent chocolate filling topped with fluffy coconut whipped cream. The chocolate hazelnut crust is packed with flaky coconut and is good enough to be eaten on its own. An impressive dessert that’s sure to impress. “

Oh yes, I’m impressed!!

I have blueberries in the freezer just wanting to be made into crumble! We need to use them up because before you know it we will be harvesting more again. I love them on top of cereal and in smoothies but sometimes you just need a good berry crumble : ) The other choices look tempting as well. I will share the vegan mousse recipe with my vegan daughter.
