Tuesday’s Tidbits

Untitled3

I know by now everyone has seen that post on Pinterest – One Pot Pasta.  The first time I saw it, I think it was done by Martha Stewart and since then I’ve seen a few varieties.  Reclaiming Your Castle has four beautiful recipes and I am vowing to try every one of them because they are so easy, quick and simple.  My favourite words!

I have always wanted to visit Italy and as I was browsing through pics of Lake Como, I came across this image.  This is the perfect reason to visit such a gorgeous place.  Isn’t that, ermm……designer sofa, just divine?

Am I late to the party on this next one?  I heard about it this week but it seems a lot of friends have already seen it.  This cracks me up every time I watch it.  Be sure you have your volume turned up.

This soup from a dash of sanity is one of the best looking soups I’ve seen in a long time.  It’s healthy and it takes under an hour to make.  Gotta have it!

This is an interesting website that I stumbled across while investigating the nutritional facts about bananas.  These folks tell you all about the external uses for banana peels.  It seems you can use the peel for acne, warts, travel sickness, wrinkles – you name it, the banana skin has the cure!  Can’t hurt to try!

And to end things on a sweet note – I’m not much of a dessert person but when I saw this cake from Julie’s eats & treats,  all I could think about was how excited kids would be to see this served at the table.  It’s so fun!  I’m not a baker but this makes me wish I was.

Have a great day, everyone!

Such fun links! I like your Tuesday feature. I can only imagine how much you would love touring Italy with all the wonderful food and…sights. The one pot pasta is a fascinating idea. I will have to read up on the bananas but I will add that the peels make great compost : )

Ohhh, that has me thinking, Mindy. Do you think we should write about starting a compost along with our gardening series?
      Thanks for your visit! xo

Robyn! Good evening! It is my dinner time, and I have a chicken stew on the stove as I type. I usually use Italian seasonings, but tonight it’s more Spanish style, but Italy….BRING IT ON! Lake Como, would I love to cruise on over there and yes, that SOFA…hahahahah is just divine. Mr. C. doesn’t look bad either! SWOON!
