When you tell your kids that this week’s meal plan consists of wings, tacos and burgers will they a) jump for joy b) look at you incredulously and say “yeah, right”! or c) shake their heads and say “what’s the catch, Mom?”
You can tell them honestly that there is no catch and that everything they are eating this week is healthy, too. Don’t you just love when that happens?
Ginger Lime Cilantro Chicken | The Spice Train
Add a garden salad to these flavorful wings and your family will be licking their lips and sticky fingers. Nicole packed loads of delicious ingredients into the sauce and we know that baking your wings is the way to go. These beauties are ready in 40 minutes!
Healthy Pesto Tomato and Broccoli Pasta | ifoodreal
Olena tells us that she prepared this meal in 30 minutes – including prep and clean up! Organic pasta and a pesto without preservatives help keep this healthy. You can also use quinoa pasta and make your own pesto if you prefer. Any leftover wings from Monday’s dinner can be shredded and tossed into this deliciousness for the carnivores.
Lamb Burgers with Goat Cheese and Avocado | Fork Knife Swoon
With Spring on the way (fingers crossed while the snow is still coming down outside!) this delicious lamb burger is going to get you longing for warmer weather. It doesn’t need to be summer to cook a scrumptious burger and Laura had the great idea of adding goat cheese and avocado – perfect complements to lamb. Less than 30 minutes to your table and hungry kids.
THURSDAY
Baked Bell Pepper Tacos | Peas and Crayons
This creative dish from Jenn comes in vegan, vegetarian and paleo options. Beef, chicken or turkey can be used as filling and toppings such as guacamole, pico de gallo and salsa verde are just a few of the delish suggestions. Make this your own and tailor to your family’s taste buds. Another 30 minute meal!
FRIDAY
Smoked Bacon Veggie Soup | Cotter Crunch
This awesome bowl of nutrition is gluten-free, grain-free, paleo friendly AND on the table in 13 minutes! Gotta love your crock pot. Perfect for a Friday night, right? Lindsay makes the most delicious soups and is super creative with her flavors. Once the family sees the bacon topping you’ll have to hold them back till you get it to the table.
Remember there are 8 weeks of previous meal plans to choose from if you want to change up some of these dishes. How’s your meal planning going? I am planning an E-book with a month of new recipes and shopping tips and I’d love to hear from you if you’d like anything special included.
In the meantime, enjoy all the free time this meal plan will give you this week. Cheers!

March 3, 2016 at 2:58 pmThe pasta has my attention – as do they all – but I adore pesto and broccoli so I know this is for me! Your kids probably think they have the best mom in the whole world!

March 4, 2016 at 4:50 pmI am not a big meat eater but that chicken looks delicious! Hopefully it won’t call for too much ginger. I made a carrot ginger soup last week that had WAY too much ginger and almost scared me away from it. You live and learn, right? Happy weekend friend!
