As we approach the new year, I’d like to thank you again for your kind comments and enthusiasm. Your readership is what drives this blog and motivates me to continue – even when I seem to be out of ideas! Can you imagine in the world of food you wouldn’t know what to cook next? Believe me, it happens – more often than I’d like, lol. But the wonderful, insightful, and sometimes very funny responses that you leave always makes this a fun place to be and pushes me to be more creative and to deliver something worth trying. I feel very fortunate to have found my place in the vast world of food bloggers and I look forward to what the new year will bring.
Here are your top 4 favourites for 2013. Happy New Year, Everyone!
One of my favourite comments of all time came from Anne Marie form Musings of a Vintage Junkie. She left two comments actually – too funny!
October 13, 2013 – “Hi Robyn! Pinning this and hoping my son and husband can’t tell it is turkey!”
October 17, 2013 – “Hi Robyn! I had to come back and say that the chili was a huge hit! My son and husband had no idea it was turkey. I added a little more chili powder to make it spicier and to help darken the meat! They ate the whole pot and my husband said there was some flavor that was different and really good…..yeah, it’s called HEALTHY!!”
Christina from Juggling Real Food and Real Life left a lovely response that was much appreciated!
November 22, 2013 – “This recipe does look fantastic. So simple and yet so elegant. The sauce is nice and light so the shrimp really shines through.”
Boneless, Stuffed Turkey on the Rotisserie
Andi @ The Weary Chef left my favourite comment on this recipe post. I love her blog and am a big admirer. Thanks, Andi!
November 21, 2013 – “I’m so impressed, Robyn! I don’t have a grill, so I’ll just have to live vicariously through you. I wish I could get a thick slice of that to try for myself!”
Cousin Jane’s Roasted Vegetable Lasagna
My cousin, Jane, has contributed many great recipes and helpful, informational articles to this blog and this particular lasagna was huge hit! Thanks, Jane, for all the help – it has been so much fun working with you! Btw, your next article has passed it deadline! Ha!
Long time reader, John, left this lovely compliment for Jane:
January 24, 2013 – “The roasted vegetable lasagna from “For the Love of Cooking” is out of this world, but I’ll confess to have been using jarred sauce (heresy in my Italian family). Next time I’ll try to work up the courage to use Jane’s marinara recipe. It sounds amazing.”
