I am thankful every day for the readers who visit and support this blog. Many of you are American and I have lots of American cousins so I consider this my holiday, too. In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving in October so it’s kind of cool that I get to do it twice!
With so much turmoil going on in the world, it’s important that we find ways to share our good fortune with others even if that only consists of passing a smile along to someone who needs it.
With that in mind, I’ve put together a random list of a few things I’m thankful for today and I’m asking you to comment and tell me what you’re thankful for. Even if you’re a reader who seldom shares your thoughts, I’d love to hear about the good things you’re celebrating tomorrow.
Laughter In good times and especially in bad times, the ability to laugh is the best gift. And if you can laugh at yourself and your silly mistakes, even better.
Art It lifts our spirits, let’s our imaginations loose and allows our creativity to soar. Follow this Instagram account and you’ll be enthralled.
Hiking Trails Allows us to be connected to mother nature and reconnect to ourselves.
Boating Looking out at the vast ocean as your vessel skims over the surface of the water is one of my favorite moments.
Wildlife The animal kingdom brings us such beauty and only asks that we give them space to live in return.
Photography Digital cameras have opened up the planet to all of us and the internet allows us to share our photos with the world. We’ve come to take it for granted but it’s the coolest thing ever!
Diversity How boring would our world be if we were all the same? I’m so grateful that I live in a country that chooses to celebrate the differences!
Sunsets I think we can all agree that everyone loves a beautiful sunset.
Wisdom Isn’t it wonderful that we grow wiser with age? Thank goodness for that!
Tears Sometimes tears are the only way to express your emotions…both happy and sad.
Pets Where would we be without our best buddies?
I’m thankful for a wonderful community of bloggers who have made this journey so much more than about food. Real friendships have blossomed and I’ve learned so much from my hard working friends. Bobbi from Bam’s Kitchen, Maggie from Omnivore’s Cookbook, Linda from Life and Linda and sweet Anita from Castles, Crowns and Cottages are just a few of the people who have truly enriched my life. Thank you, Ladies!
My cousin, Jane, who makes me laugh myself silly and has done that since we were little kids. One memorable summer spent at our grandmother’s house cemented our bond and the chaos we created still cracks us up. She made a fabulous Roasted Vegetable Lasagna for the blog that is still the best lasagna ever! Love you, Jay. xoxo
My nephews, who are now at the age where they don’t want their pics on my blog but you can see them here, here and here, hehehe. You guys light up my life!
And the man in my life, (whom I lovingly refer to as Batman)….you make my world go round and round and upside down!
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone. Cheers!

November 25, 2015 at 10:21 amRobyn, such a heart warming post. We all have so much to be thankful for. You have captured life’s precious moments perfectly. Truly our lives would not be as rich without all of those topics you have written about. We are human and therefore we do have emotions and sharing them is not a bad thing. Laughter has gotten me through tough times. I appreciate you and our friendship. Thank you for such a beautiful post. Enjoy your second Thanksgiving my sweet friend. Lots of love from Wonder Woman…xo

November 25, 2015 at 12:31 pmI am FLATTERED, in tears (I am very sensitive and cry when I’m happy as well as sad!) and SO THANKFUL for this timely blog post. Not only are you so correct on all the reasons why one should be happy, but you have to be the third person today who has validated my current thoughts. I AM THANKFUL for the laughter we’ve shared on the phone, for the connection through art and photography and ideas that we share, and for the happiness you transmit dearest Robyn. THANK YOU and how fun to see my photo here! You are a gem…..I don’t know what else to say but THANK YOU, MERCI, GRACIAS, OBRIGADA, TAK…….
