July 30, 2016 at 6:31 amYES YES and YES! You have been a busy blueberry picking gal! You know, berries are the champs of summer. I love my watermelon, I adore my peaches, but berries are so versatile, TOUGH (they hold up so nice to freezing) and are just plain beautiful and tasty. YOU should have seen my photography fiasco the other day when I attempted to photograph a fresh fruit tartlette. It’s a good thing it was free (I used a gift card a student had given me)….I had to store it in the fridge for a day or two since I’ve been busy, but when I tried taking photos of it, I THOUGHT OF YOU and how you have instructed me and reminded me how food is difficult to capture. IT SURE IS! It started to melt on me, and the powdered sugar I put on it to embellish it soaked into the jelly, etc…..I kept the photo but I will NOT share it because it’s a step backwards in my skills! I think I may need a tutorial one day on how to snap food.
Well done my friend. These recipes are a great way to party down in August and stretch out summer as long as possible!

July 30, 2016 at 7:17 amLOL, Anita, it’s taken me 3 years to learn how to shoot food and I’m still a newbie! It’s a process and every single type of food is different – a challenge for sure! I’d love to share what I’ve learned so far though and if you send me the photo, I can offer some tips 🙂 I’d be lost without the help of fellow food photographers!
I agree with you on blueberries – super healthy and they go with everything!! Enjoy your weekend. It’s a holiday weekend here and I’m off to an arts and crafts festival this morning 🙂

August 7, 2016 at 11:41 amBeside strawberry, Blueberry is one of the healthiest foods I really love. And they require no pitting or peeling. I usually combine it with strawberry in a beautiful smoothie. It is so great. That is called strawberry blueberry smoothie. I added just a touch of vanilla extract for a wee bit of sweetness and used regular milk and found the smoothie very light and refreshing! Thanks for sharing delicious dishes!
