Radishes are the signal that spring is finally here and I love their crisp, peppery taste when added to salads, sandwiches or a protein. There seems to be two camps of radishes – love ’em or hate ’em and, as with my vegetables, I love them and try to include them as often as possible. They can be strong in taste but just make sure you slice them thinly, preferably with a mandolin, and it will not overpower your dish.
Here are my Top Ten favorite ways to include this controversial veggie in your diet. I’d love to hear about your favorite radish recipes in the comments below. Are you a lover of this delicious little gem?

May 30, 2017 at 6:31 amIsn’t it funny how we discover as adults that we like a certain food, Sue? I think sometimes we miss out on veggies as kids because our parents didn’t like them so they never had them in the house. I just started eating rhubarb a few years ago and I loved it! lol

May 29, 2017 at 4:57 amRobyn, hello! Well my dear, I have to admit that I’m on the HATE ‘EM campsite…I’ve given radishes a try but that strong peppery taste is just not for me. Anything with HOT or pepper taste is off limits. Which is strange, since I’m of Mexican heritage! I’m a bad Latina, because I can’t handle chili or anything hot! teeeheheeeeee
However…..these photos make some fabulous suggestions; I’d just exchange these little red hots with something milder…but what fantastic ideas!
Have a marvelous day.

May 30, 2017 at 6:22 amLoL, that surprises me, Anita. I had no idea you didn’t like spice. I’m all about hot and spicy and sometimes go overboard with it. I have to wonder if radishes would be as popular as they are if they weren’t so darn cute, lol.
Hope you had a fabulous holiday weekend, friend. Can’t wait to chat!

May 29, 2017 at 6:50 amCount me in the love ’em camp 🙂 I especially like them sliced paper thin. I find it keeps them from over-powering other ingredients that way. Beautiful round-up of great radish inspiration. Thanks for including my sandwiches. You’ve reminded me I need to make these agin 🙂

June 3, 2017 at 8:38 amHello sweet friend. I know you are on the very busy path. These dishes look fabulous, almost too pretty to eat. The watermelon radishes make quite the statement. I can live without these beauties…they make the salads pop, however I don’t feel the need to add them….lol. Wishing you great success with the business. Lots of love from W.W.
