Hi everyone, it’s another Tidbits day and I want to say thank you for all your kind words and comments on my last post. It really does make it fun for me to put this together each week. Today I will be adding a little extra because next weekend is a long weekend in Canada and I’m turning it into a 4 day weekend! It’s definitely time for some summer fun.
Today’s featured blogger is Michelle from Healthy Recipe Ecstasy. I was immediately drawn to her blog because, like so many of us crazed foodies, she has a passion for great tasting dishes while keeping it healthy. Michelle believes you don’t have to give up your favourite foods to eat right, you just have to create a new way to cook them. As you know, I`m all in with that and I am ga-ga over her beautiful recipes.
Michelle is an attorney who loves to sample new cuisines on her globe trotting adventures as well as preparing delightful creations for her readers. Doesn’t she look like you want to make her your best friend? I just know sharing a meal with Michelle would be a ton of fun! You’ll be chomping at the bit to visit her site when you take a look at just a few of my favourites.
Goat Cheese, Prosciutto and Chive Stuffed Mushrooms Healthy Recipe Ecstasy
All summer long I’ve been thinking about stuffed mushrooms and I haven’t come up with a recipe idea that I wanted to make until now. These are divine!
Char-Grilled Coconut and Lemon Grass Chicken Wings with Green Chili Emulsion
Healthy Recipe Ecstasy
The ingredients in this recipe are blowing my mind. This is genius and must be made. Michelle, have you ever considered competing on Masterchef? Seriously!
Leek and Wild Mushroom Flatbread with Truffle Oil
Healthy Recipe Ecstasy
Ok, now the mushrooms can`t wait another day. The photos, the food – heavenly!
It was so great having you here today, Michelle. Every once in awhile it’s possible to get blasé about food and then someone comes along that truly inspires. Thank you!
Ok, if you can tear yourself away from the fabulous food for a few minutes, I have some very cool lamps to check out. I love the children’s laps and there is even a cloud lamp that gets dark and stormy! And how about this book….
If you do nothing else today, you must watch this – promise? PROMISE! It’s only 3 minutes of your life and it’s awesome….Click here now – JUST DO IT!
Aren’t you glad I’m SO bossy! It was worth it, wasn’t it? 🙂
Bette Midler does extraordinary work all over the country transforming unused spaces into beautiful, green community gardens. Architectural Digest has a slideshow on some of her accomplishments and it’s so gratifying to see how she brings people together to create sustainable plots to provide fresh food for the local people.

AFTER
Just as I like layers and texture in food, I love it in design as well. We’re going to Architectural Design again (this month’s issue was super!) to see some beautiful ceilings that have that extra ‘pop’. Don’t you find that it makes the room extra special?
Tom Brady’s and Gisele Bundchen’s outdoor living space
Check out Gerard Butler`s rustic loft in NYC. OH. MY. GOODNESS!
Funny or Die has a fun collection of Most Hilarious Kiss Cam Goofs Ever. They are right – they are REALLY funny!
To send you on your way with a smile, I have two short videos. Now, of course, I would recommend you watch both but I will give you a heads up on these. The first one about the whale is truly amazing and you may have seen it on the news lately. It will make you smile and laugh and say ‘Oh my gosh’! and think about what you would do in that situation….
The second video will make you smile BIG but it might make you cry, too. So, if you’re at work I’d wait until you get home to watch it because it made my mascara run, lol. It’s beautiful, touching, inspirational…
Have a great day, everyone!

July 29, 2014 at 4:46 amGOOD MORNING! Robyn, I love your Tuesday’s Tidbits. Not only are your recipes fun and tasty to discover, but the other fun surprises you share really do send me off on my day with smiles AND ideas. I LOVE THAT CLOUD LAMP! And those whale videos and the surfer????? I’m grateful for many things, but one thing I’m happy about as I get older is that I’m noticing more things. Call it learning, call it curiosity, but I’d like to think that this connection we have to one another is what helps us keep going. Sharing with others the things that make us wonder in awe helps keep us seeing the beauty in this world. OH! And mushrooms…did I tell you I made little pizzas the other day using large portobello mushroom caps as the “crust?” They were fantastic. They were basically large stuffed mushrooms, but with all the pizza goodness on top. Try it!
Have a super day dear friend, Anita

July 29, 2014 at 10:50 pmHello dear Robyn!
What a pleasure to come and visit with you. I have not been here for a while as I have been extremely busy with my parents. I have missed my blogging community friends, such as your self. 🙂
As always, some wonderful looking foods. I must try that flat bread recipe.I love breads of all kinds. I try not to eat too much of it, but sure do enjoy it.
That video of the blankets was quite the heart warmer. Thank you for sharing it with us.
There really is no greater joy than to give to the needs of others.
Enjoy your four day week-end! Summer is moving along with a good clip and will soon be over.
