We’re definitely into Fall now and as I’m writing this I am seeing a few tiny snowflakes dotting the sky….already! The snow can be pretty for about 5 minutes but it usually goes on well into Spring and that thought is just too much to comprehend at the moment, lol.
I must apologize for getting a little behind on Tuesday Tidbits. I’ve been changing the theme of my blog and my schedule has been more hectic than usual but I’m back on track now. I STILL have the subscription issue but I’m determined to get that fixed this week. Thanks again for your patience.
The cold weather may be here but we can console ourselves with some healthy comfort food starting with this scrumptious looking lamb dish I discovered on a beautiful blog, Prepare and Nourish.
I would love to be digging into a bowl of this right now! Anya’s blog is all about preparing wholesome foods and she has some excellent advice on getting started if you’re wanting to find your way to healthier living. If you need ideas for great healthy snacks at work too, just follow this link.
I was drawn to her blog because she feels very strongly about the fact that we have the responsibility of giving our children the best, healthiest start in life and that begins with whole foods. I couldn’t agree more!
You’ll also want to check out her recipe on making your own fish stock. I have to confess it’s never occurred to me to do this but I will be trying her recipe after reading the post. I’m truly inspired by Anya’s blog because her recipes are flavorful, international and packed full of nourishing ingredients. You’ll want to visit this site over and over. Great job, Anya. Thanks for sharing your recipe and knowledge with us today!
Another blogger I’ve recently had the pleasure of meeting is Kathleen at Hapa Nom Nom. I love it when I meet people who have the same taste buds as I do. Every time she posts a recipe, I get so excited! Check out this tasty chicken dish!
One Pot Moroccan Chicken and Rice | Hapa Nom Nom
This dish is super easy and just requires some assembly before it basically cooks itself. Simple, right? And the flavors that Kathleen has included are going to explode in your mouth. I love that she demonstrates that simple does not equal tasteless. The whole world needs to know that simple IS delicious. It’s my mission in life, ha! And I’m thrilled that it’s Kathleen’s, too!
Check out this next dish. Being Canadian, I think I can be forgiven for never having tasted grits but after I saw this photo, I know I must try them!

October 20, 2015 at 5:58 pmI hate to tell you it is 80 degrees here today. I am so tired of the heat. I get a lot of hot flashes-a side effect of a medication I am taking. In cooler times the hot flashes are so busy warming my body I don’t mind them as much. Love this post. You are so down to earth and accessible with beautiful photography.
