Happy Tuesday Tidbits Day, everyone! I’ve got loads of fabulous fun and food for you today. First up are some delicious dinner recipes for Valentine’s Day with your special someone. Do you cook at home or go out? Are you one of those couple that celebrate Valentine’s in a big way or do you like to make every day of the year special?
These meals are great for any time of the year and best of all – you guessed it- easy and healthy! Here are three beautiful recipes from HuffPost Living’s 11 Romantic Dinners for Two.
Seared Scallops with Pasta and Kale | A Thought for Food
Steak and Mushrooms | Healthy Seasonal Recipes
Whiskey-Glazed Salmon with Mango-Habanero Salsa | Chez Spence
The primary reason I started this blog was to convince people that you can eat healthy, delicious meals without being tied to the stove or spending a lot of money. I still believe that even though the price of food has gone up considerably – it just takes a little planning and research.
Check out this article from One Green Planet on How to Eat a Healthy Whole Foods, Plant-Based Diet on $50 Per Week. The author gives some great tips and some concrete examples of what to buy to stay within budget. This post is worth a read too if you’re just starting on a whole foods diet. Love this no nonsense approach instead a lot of fluff that tends to follow a lot of these titles – 10 Ridiculously Tips on How To Live on Whole Planted-Based Foods.
If you enjoy Tuesday Tidbits, my friend Rebecca at Strength and Sunshine does something similar on Fridays. You’ll want to check out these fun posts because it has something for everyone – delicious foods, fitness, blogging, photography and much more. Love it!

And these real life bear cubs made me chuckle. It looks like he’s practicing some karate skills!
Here is a touching post that every mother and daughter should read. I have long admired the beautiful relationship between my friends, Debbie and Stephanie. Recently, Debbie (Mom) put together a beautiful luncheon for her daughters and the thought and love she put into this will touch your heart. You can read it here. Such beautiful women!

Last month, the world lost David Bowie – such a talent! And such an influence on a generation and more to come. I came across a beautiful slideshow on MSN of his island mansion on Mystique. It is so magical! Click here to enjoy.
If you’re not as fortunate as David Bowie (!!!) and you live in a small space struggling to make all your furniture fit, take a lot at this video. You won’t believe how creative the designer has been!
You won’t need space planning in this house, except to figure out how you’re going to fill it up! This gorgeous oceanfront home in Bridgehampton, NY sure caught my attention. Love the architecture!

I’m sure you’ve seen the news of many Syrian refugees arriving in Canada and I have to say it’s been a very emotional time for many Canadians. This country celebrates and embraces it’s diversity and we are very thankful for a Prime Minister who is a humanitarian and has laid out the welcome mat to so many that are in dire need of new homes and safety.
This video makes me smile so big! Many Syrians have never seen snow before and now they are experiencing a favorite activity of Canadians – tobogganing!! The pure joy on the faces of both children and adults will bring tears to your eyes.
I apologize in advance to any husbands that are reading this post but you have to go check out the hilarious pics posted by women on some on the things their husbands have done. I know we can all relate!
I smiled when I read this post, 21 Things That Were Normal In The 1990’s But Unbelievable Today from dose.com. We have definitely come a LONG way!

Parents, if you leave an iPad or any video recording device around the house unattended, be prepared for an impromptu music video. This 5 year old made a secret video with her mom’s iPad and it’s hilarious!
And because Valentine’s Day is in 12 days, here is a quote from Pablo Neruda that always melts me.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
Cheers!
