Good morning, everyone!
With Easter fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to hear from everyone about their cooking plans. Do you cook at your home or celebrate at family or friends’ homes? Do you cook the same dish every Easter or change it up? Perhaps you cook according to your ethnic origins – Greek? Italian? Asian? I’d love to hear about your menu plans.
Here are some scrumptious traditional and not so traditional dishes from that fabulous website, bonappetit.
Two Dishes for the Pescatarian – Cod with Lemon, Green Olive, and Onion Relish
or
Littleneck Clams with New Potatoes and Green Onions
We are turkey lovers in our family so this is our choice for most Easters.
Cider-Brined Pork Roast with Potatoes and Onions
For the vegetarians –
Eggplant Parmesan with Fresh Mozzarella
And for the vegans –
Cauliflower Steaks with Olive Relish and Tomato Sauce

I love play time with kids. I love having adventures with kids where we let our imaginations run wild and travel to the moon and back. I love snuggling with the sweet smell of kids. And I love photographing kids. Here are some photos that I’ve come across on Pinterest that just melted my heart.
Adorable, impish kids in Tibet
A boy and his faithful friend.

I love beautiful entrances to a home or a garden or, if you’re lucky, a secret passage. I’ve been collecting images of unique doorways on Pinterest for awhile now and wanted to share some here. I think I was meant to live in another time….or at least in a place where the architecture captures your heart – like Italy or France.

Just a final little note to the food bloggers. How do you feel about watermarking your photos? For quite some time now I’ve considered not watermarking and after reading this article, I’m convinced. There are ways to imbed your ownership of the photo without having to spoil the look by writing all over it. This fellow made a lot of sense and there are many good reasons for not doing it. This is a good read if you struggle with the same problem.

April 1, 2014 at 5:16 pmHi Cheri,
I love salmon for a holiday lunch or dinner. It’s the one fish that most people will eat and it’s so easy to prepare. Thanks so much for visiting and brightening my day!

April 1, 2014 at 7:01 pmWe have varying preferences in food with our extended family with the full on carnivores, the pescatarians and vegetarians so we have a mixture and everyone usually comes away pretty full. I love the little kid pictures, sweet, and the doors make me want to explore and re-read the Secret Garden…

April 2, 2014 at 9:24 amLOL, you’ve got it all, Mindy! It’s not difficult to make dishes to satisfy everyone these days so I’m sure you have a wonderful assortment of flavours. Aren’t those kids adorable? I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t read The Secret Garden yet. Thanks for visiting!

April 2, 2014 at 9:03 amHi, dear Robyn! I must confess that at Easter time we usually are away, making some trip. So we don’t pay a special attention to the food!
What an amazing post!

April 3, 2014 at 2:33 pmOh my all of those dishes looked delish but I am not a big Easter Dinner cooker so am not sure what I will be serving, but thanks for the ideas. Watermarking is good for those with excellent photography skills, so you may want to – your pics are fabulous!
Robyn
April 3, 2014 at 3:29 pmThanks so much, Antionette, but I’m really bothered by the way the watermark detracts from the photo. I’ve learned a way to embed code into the photo that protects it so I’m going to leave the watermark off for now and hope that the pics aren’t pilfered too often, lol. Always enjoy your visits, sweet lady!

April 4, 2014 at 8:41 amGreat round up of recipes Robyn! I have no idea what I will be making for Easter as it depends on what they have in the market that day but these recipes are inspiring. I love the doors and Italy and France always win me over. Great kid photos and their bright beautiful eyes are just gorgeous. I started to leave some of my photos without a watermark on them and some with not because I meant to leave it off but is almost like habit to always do it. I will try to remember to leave them all off with the next post. Have a super weekend. BAM

April 5, 2014 at 8:13 amI love that you can go to a market where there’s fresh produce every day, BAM. I’ll be so happy when the spring and summer markets open here. Can you believe it’s snowing here again today!! Unreal!
I sent the meta data info to you…hope it’s helpful. Hope everyone is well and your weekend is great.
