This year was an exciting one for the blog in so many ways. My readership increased, I bought a new macro lens, I collaborated with some very talented foodies and I introduced a monthly International Dish which has been very popular. There are also loads of surprises in the development stage that I can hardly wait to share with you in the coming months!
How about you? Are you planning on eating healthily in the new year? Do you need to detox after Christmas? No worries – next I’ll be bringing you a round-up of recipes from healthy food bloggers to get you started. It’s going to be a great year!
I’m so thankful for your continued visits and encouraging comments here. My head is always swimming with new ingredients and recipes and I’m looking forward to producing some new healthy deliciousness in the coming months. Here’s a look at the past year and your favorite dishes.
#10 Spicy Lime Shrimp with Drunken Grapes
This one just popped into my head one afternoon while I was looking for something to photograph. I’ve made it several times since and it’s great at any time of the year. Super Simple!
#9 Roasted Beets on Ciabatta with Goat Cheese and Arugula
Beets are so good for you and I was looking for a way to heighten their taste when I made this. It did the trick – they were delicious!
I love fresh spring soups and this one turned out so wonderfully delicious! It’s packed full of nutrition and is one of my very favorite dishes ever.
#7 Roasted Lemon and Rosemary Chicken with Roasted Radish Salad
Chicken! America`s most popular food. I love finding different yet easy and healthy ways to cook it. The radish salad is a perfect complement.
This is a super easy meal that can be a quick weeknight meal or you can serve it to your dinner guests. Healthy goodness that looks like a restaurant meal. You can bet that it will taste better than anything you eat in a restaurant and it will cost you a fraction of the price!
#5 Meatball Pizza with Roasted Garlic and Spinach
This pizza has less fat because I used bison meatballs and loaded it up with veggies. Fresh basil, oregano and roasted garlic make it come to life.
This chili was #1 last year and it continues to be popular. I love using lean turkey in my chili. A great comfort food without the guilt.
I spent most of the summer concocting this recipe so I sure am glad you liked it! I could barely get this thing photographed because I wanted to eat it SO bad!
I wanted to create a potato salad without the gobs of mayo and unnecessary calories and it seems that people were ready for a change. The healthy eats movement is slowly but surely moving across North America and folks are excited about it!
This is by far the most viewed recipe. It’s been viewed twice as much as #2! All the flavors came together in just the right way to create a fabulous taste. It`s super versatile and you can add chicken, pasta, brown rice and more.
Which one did you like best?
Do you have a favorite food that is not so healthy that you would like to transform into fewer calories and more nutrients? Let me know what it is and I’ll try to do that for you.

December 29, 2014 at 4:05 pmMy favorite is the turkey chili. I fix that all the time. I put fresh avocado in the bottom of each bowl and spoon the chili over it.
