Hi everyone, I hope your week is off to a good start and I’m so glad you’re here for Tuesday Tidbits!
We are revisiting one of my favourite bloggers, Tieghan, from Half Baked Harvest today because she has a dish that I find completely irresistible! This salad has it all – fruits, veggies, fresh herbs and steak! This will have everyone in your household begging for more.
Thai Steak Salad with Sweet and Spicy Tahini Dressing and Sesame Chili-Lime Cashews
Can you believe how amazing that looks?! Tieghan is not only a fabulous photographer but her creations are so intricate and inspired, I can only think of her as a food scientist! I love every single ingredient in this recipe.
And this dressing! Garlic, ginger, limes, tahini, fish sauce, sweet Thai chili sauce, ponzu sauce, and fish sauce – can you imagine how flavourful it is!? Did I mention that Tieghan even added hard boiled eggs? This salad is a dish that you can make over and over – whether for family or company, it will be a big hit!
Thanks for another delicious recipe, Tieghan!
Neila Rey has a great page where she recommends which snacks to have in the morning and the ones that are best for you in the evening. I make the mistake of snacking on grapes in the evenings and I have to break this habit. Grapes have too much sugar to be eating late at night. Carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes would be much better choices. Check out Neila’s page here for some great suggestions.
I have always had a thing for unique sinks – kitchen, bathroom, you name it. Here’s a site with some extraordinary sinks that I would love to have in my home!
This is one of my favourites and you can see so many more at Amazing Interior Design. Can you imagine how excited your kids would be to watch the goldfish while they brush their teeth? It might not make it such a chore to get them in there to wash up, either!
I love interesting architectural design – both interiors and exteriors – and of course, Pinterest makes it so much easier to find special places. But do you ever find yourself getting blasΓ© about it all because you see one fabulous design after another and after awhile nothing really stands out? This why I like to travel around looking at different Home exteriors. This means when a buildings exterior design is really great, it really does stand out! Features such as Graceland Replacement Windows can really make a renovated house very striking, and can even bring a whole new look to a property that could have been near unimaginable before.
The greatest thing about getting outisde and looking around is that if a homes exterior is being worked on, you can see how it’s being built and more importantly what company is working on it! Through my hours of studying I have found that if you are looking tohave exterior work done on your home, a great company you could use is M&M Home Exteriors. As they seem to be able to make a home stand out with a smooth exterior look. However, not make the building stand out like a sore thumb from neighbouring houses.
That’s how I was feeling until I came across this home. I think it’s the natural light and the casual elegance that attracts me. This is somewhere that you could comfortably call home.
Situated on Lake Austin in Texas, the weather would always be lovely and the water views spectacular. The kitchen and the outdoors really captured my imagination as well. I wonder if that kitchen is using Atlanta Granite Countertops, the marble look is so classy and clean!

Would you describe yourself as an extrovert or introvert? How about those closest to you? Do you think about them in those terms? Here are a couple of interesting charts that will give you something to think about. I know I’ll be reading this a few times.
Which one are you?

August 26, 2014 at 9:40 amHi Robyn, love Tieghan’s site, she is amazing, also the chart on introverts and extroverts is a great one. Those sinks were very cool, though I could see outside help cleaning would most likely be needed. And the little boy with the leaf and the little fairy were just adorable, great post, Happy Tuesday!!

August 27, 2014 at 4:52 amThanks so much, Cheri. I am definitely a Tieghan stalker and spend more time there than I do on Food Gawker, lol
I was wondering about the sinks too – you’d have to bring in aquarium cleaners, I think!
Thanks so much for visiting today π

August 26, 2014 at 2:50 pmWhat a lovely salad, full of yummy things. I will visit for sure to see more. Love the sinks. It would be really cool to own multiple houses so we could decorate each one differently. I never tire of looking at dream houses. The photos are amazing and so vivid. Enjoy your week. Hugs from WW.
