Hello everyone, I hope you’re all having a good week. Let’s start our Tidbits day out with a smile. Check out this website that lists Sixty of the World’s Happiest Facts. If you’re not smiling after you read some of these – you need a serious tude adjustment, lol.

As a child, I loved the Sound of Music, and I think a big part of that was due to the amazing scenery. When I first visited Austria when I was teen, I wasn’t disappointed. I have often thought it would be an idyllic place to live. I want to be with my man sipping some wine on that dock right this minute!
Check out the Top 10 Most Beautiful Nature Spots in Austria. They look like paintings – the beauty is surreal.

Are you nodding off in the middle of the afternoon? Wanting to take a nap but you’re in the middle of a meeting at work? Here’s a short video with some good advice on some healthy foods that you can snack on that will give you that boost you need to make it through the day.
She reminds us that a little bit of dark chocolate is ok to snack on – gotta love that! Check out this article from Women’s Health if you want to learn more.

This salad zinger caught my attention because it allows you to create your own dressings so easily. I think it’s time to invest in one of these, along with the water zinger. Sometimes it’s nice to have some fruit flavours in your water but I want to do it naturally. Has anyone tried that brand? I’d be interested in knowing what you think. Or if the Zinger people are reading this – feel free to send me some free stuff! ha!

And finally, we’ve got Father’s Day coming up with weekend! I’ve got some fabulous healthy recipes from one of my favourite websites, bonappetit.com. I love the beautiful photography on this site and their unique creations but in the past, I have often had to change up the ingredients to make them healthier. However, this year they have introduced ‘Bon Appetit’s Cooking School: The New Healthy’. Check out their fabulous entrees.
Have a fabulous week, everyone!

PS…..To the Food Bloggers:
I’m in the process of organizing a resource page so if you have any info you’d like me to share, please drop me an email and I’ll include it if it’s relevant. I’m looking mainly at resources for food bloggers specifically. In the meantime, I wanted to share this cool site that will resize your pics if you don’t have photoshop or paintshop. It’s free and quick and easy.
Also, if you don’t have a Disclosure Policy and you’re putting it off because you’re not sure of the wording, you can visit this site and they will generate one for you for free.

June 10, 2014 at 2:07 amGood Afternoon Robyn! Great post. I was really surprised to see some of the facts about sleep. I sleep prone (on my belly) so I must be the life of the party… Great informative post and so many things to think about. I love your Tuesday tidbits as it is like a breath of fresh air. I have not tried one of those salad dressing dispensers but would like to try this one. We eat a lot of salads at our house and I always make my dressings homemade. However, the problem is with the standard dispensers no matter how much shaking you do it never seems to pour well, either the dressing is really vinegary or really oily. Sharing your post and now that you have this convenient little side bar that is so easy to do. Take Care, BAM

I’ll let you know how that dispenser works – definitely going to order one especially now that summer is here. Or maybe the Zinger company will send us both some free stuff, lol. Have a great day!

June 13, 2014 at 9:45 amLove these Tuesday posts friend. I am especially fascinated by the sleep portion (especially because I am apparently in the over 65 category lately with an average of 6 hours or less…) and the snacks for energy (which I also need what with the lack of sleep and all…). Thanks for all the interesting info!
