Tuesday’s Tidbits

Untitled3

Hi everyone – hope you`re all having a great start to your Tuesday.

I wanted to start off with  Aida, a lovely blogger friend who has completely captivated the foodie community with her baking creations.  Have you ever seen something as amazing as this chocolate cake?

TidbitsCraftingFoodie

This is not just any cake – this is a Chocolate Pinata Cake filled with Muddy Buddies.  Aida gives a great tutorial that actually makes it look possible for an ordinary human to make it!

TID, Aida

Her blog, The Crafting Foodie is filled with fantastic images and recipes and is a must see!

Aida`s attention to detail is amazing and her crafting skills are highlighted too.  Here is an adorable cardigan cable knit sweater she made for her daughter.  This is one very talented lady so pop over with a cup of tea, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Just a short while ago I discovered Castles, Crowns and Cottages but I feel like I’ve known Anita my whole life.  She is a remarkable woman who can touch others in a very special way and if you immerse yourself in her choices of music, images and her poignant writings you will come away deeply affected.

That may all sound a little mysterious but I don’t know how else to describe a visit to Anita’s site – once you’re there you’ll know what I’m talking about.  She explains: ” I write to lift up others.  I write because I must.  I compose ideas because the inspiration comes from above.”

Here’s just a little glimpse of one of my favourite posts about love.  It’s Spring time and isn’t everyone in love?  Please enjoy the music while you savour the words and images.

 CRAZY, ISN’T IT?

You can’t cover it up.

Good morning dear ROBYN! I am very honored to see my name here along with Aida! I must go visit her this morning to meet up with her; that cake is beyond words! WOW! And I thank you so much for this beautiful introduction to the place I enjoy writing and celebrating my favorite topic: LOVE. I find myself musing about it, and not just about romantic love, but mostly about a love I wish would be embraced more in the world. The love of words, kind words. The celebration of CHILDHOOD and exploration of our possibilities. But I always come back to think what blogging has done for me…to help me link up with wonderful people like you. AND I LOVE TED! Your bright and delicious blog is filled with wonderful ideas to feed the body AND need to know that we are not alone, that we are loved. And I appreciate your recent extension of kindness to me. I am feeling better everyday, not quite there yet, but I’ll keep you informed of the results.

HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER! Anita

      Morning, Linda,
I know that you visit Anita and enjoy it as much as I do. And Aida! That cake! I have never seen anything so creative in a cake. When I showed her site to my sister-in-law, she thought it was a professional baker’s website.
Love the gadget! I am looking forward to this weekend when I can do some experimenting. Have a wonderful day, Wonder Woman. xoxo

I love TED as there are many educational talks that are just a must see and sometimes more than once. Great post Robyn! Have a super week. BAM

The chocolate cake looks like any child (or chocolate loving adult) would be thrilled with – but I am in LOVE with that sweater, so beautiful! I also love the commercial you chose and the pictures to go with your love portion are swoon worthy…
